‘Plein air painting is pure joy and mindfulness. No rules, no lines, no time, no agenda.’

This collection of plein air paintings were created from diverse landscapes including the Mornington and Bellarine Peninsulas and the sacred and ancient Willandra Lakes Region – Lake Mungo. Each of the paintings were created in the field using an under painting of fast drying acrylic paint on canvas or cradled wood panel then rendering detail in oil paint. Some of the paintings were completed in the field as a snapshot of a moment exploring the immediacy of light and texture on the land. Whilst others were taken back to the studio for further rendering to high light form.
