Contemporary portraits painted from life from multiple sittings either in the studio, at the subjects residence or preferred place. During the sittings, sketches using conte pencil and watercolour inform understandings of shape, form and light whilst conversations and stories from the person, gives the portrait meaning and soul. Portraits that cannot be generated from life are created by sketches and studies from photographs. Mediums range from acrylic, oil to nail polish.
